  • Capture the flag PBEM?

I'd like to set up some kind of scenario to be played as a pbem. Not sure exactly how it would work, i'm looking for ideas.

Some things i've thought about were having 4 to 6 players on a mirror type map.

Probably have it visible to all but not sure.

Each civ has one city. The idea is to capture the other players city, once you lose your city your dead.

i think start with all techs, and say a set number of units.
not allowed to build any more cities, only capture them.

I was thinking you could start with say a set number of enginners, armour howitzers, bombers, fighters etc. You could build more but with only one city it would take a long time so you would have to protect the units you have.

Any ideas for this kind of pbem?
Any one interested in playing this kind of game?

This doesn't belong in the pbem forum. This is for mpers

I was hoping some of the people I play mp against would be interested. It doesn't appear they are however.

      Has this been done before?
      Are you interested?

If I can't get any interest here I'll ask to move it to the pbem forum.

well i was thinking that if everyone started with the same number of units, and it was played pbem style it might be possible to play a game with modern day units that might envolve some strategies we haven't experienced very often.

The problem is the one city each, why move your army out to capture another when you stand a good chance of loosing your original in the process?

Its even worse, just make a scenario and alter everything you want, then save the scenario as a savefile......

Or just save it and compare sevas after the game, people can only do it once......

I just play everyone and if I suspect anything I'll make some saves and analize it.

It never enters my head that someone might be cheating. I just assume no one is.
