And large attacks. While infrequent, they can slow it down. But no one seems to complain about that, unless you're on the receiving end.

The caravans get slow when people are optomizing their cities... or ship chaining

Oppps, I forgot about that. I almost did a single turn ship chain the last game but the ships weren't in the right position. MUST REMEMBER NEXT TIME> Senior moment.
