Euchre is about as strategic a game as I play now. Plus, it provides ample opportunity to verbally abuse your partner and opponents... that just doesn't work as well in chess.

When I was young, my father and I built our own version of the 3D chessboard you see on Star Trek. (I made him, actually, as he had no desire to learn to play.) I never had much chance to use it, and the poor thing was lost in one move or another. I've found myself gravitating back to 3D chess over the last few months. I say gravitating...I mean more like dropping from a 50 story building onto sharp rocks. Yes, it does take some getting used to.Comment
