    Very nicely done, Nethog!
Too bad my ancient eyes can't handle typefaces as small as some of those found on the Tech Tree page...

Re the Terrain Conversion page --
I think I have most of it -- the 3-digit code (for food-shields-arrows IIRC), and the thrid line = pluses for Irrigation, Mining, and Roads, right? And the "m" and "i" in the pointer arrows are obviously mining and irrigations results.

--But I don't get the "20/10" for grassland.
--And I don't get the meaning of the "o" in the arrows (at work, lazy, and maybe a little dumb, I guess).

So, can you share the info key for that page? (BTW, there's actually space enough there for you to provide one...) Thanx.

    OUTSTANDING!

Yes I apologize for the small font, however it would be hard to fit on a single page unless I used a small font.

      Correct.

--But I don't get the "20/10" for grassland.
It means 2 food, either 0 or 1 mineral, and 0 trade. I will put brackets around the 0/1 to make it more clear.

And I don't get the meaning of the "o" in the arrows
Actually, the small letter in the arrows is the keyboard letter you press to make that specific terrain conversion.

So, can you share the info key for that page? (BTW, there's actually space enough there for you to provide one...)
Yes, I will provide a key for the page in a future beta release.

Superb - I too have problems with the font - but under the circumstances can live with it.

One comment - the grid lines in the Wonder and Unit pages were, to me, distracting particularly on the WoWs where I felt they were unneeded

I will see what I can do. I kind of like them myself - any one else have an opinion on this?

          On another completely different note:
I had originally adapted the terrain conversion charts from another source and I wanted to credit the source for the original concept, but it has been several months since I created the charts, and I couldn't remember where I got them. Today I found the original images in Apolyton's excellent Info: Settlers/Engineers (GL) thread by Gastrifitis, so I added this source to my working copy of the ref pack version 0.93 to be uploaded soon. If anyone is aware of the original author of the actual GIF images (if it isn't Gastrifitis) please let me know so I can add it to my diagram.

I had much fun with 'Opération Panzer' sequel #1 to 'Panzer General' (nothing to compare with civ2 ww2 scenario of course , but real fun, especially the Russian battlefront with huge tank battles in the snow, not easy at all to master).

I have put Beta 0.93 of my reference pack on my website at http://mywebpages.comcast.net/pmm1/games/games.html.

Scouse and War4ever, I think you will be happy to know I dropped the grid lines on the wonders and units charts.

-Jrabbit - check out the changes to the terrain conversion chart!

                Thanks for your feedback.

Could this be "Panzer General II"? If so it is available for $9.95 from the link provided at the underdogs...

Please, SlowThinker, buy 1 for me!
I guess PanzerGeneral II was released after the one I played ('Operation Panzer').
Is it that kind of game that is called 'hexgame' since the map is divided into hexagons?
Anyway I enjoyed that one (just like I enjoyed 'CivilWar II', which was the same kind of game, though with different weapons ).

No problem, La Fayette. (yes, a hex game)
                            Anybody else?

They sell also Imerialism II for the same price. I didn't start to play any of these games yet.

                              MAJOR UPDATE!!

Although I fear posting this out of context from the current discussion on TBS war games here's an update on my reference pack:

have placed the Beta 0.94 release of my reference pack on my web site at

Thanks Sodak and SlowThinker for your feedback.

Here's a summary of the additions and changes:

                              New Governements Summary Page!
I have added a "Governments" summary which I hope everyone takes a look at and adds their comments. I would be interested in adding some numerical information regarding the relative difference the type of government makes on corruption and waste for Despotism, Monarchy and Republic (and Fundamentalism?).

                              Units Summary Page:
I spent a lot of time examining the excellent chart SlowThinker has created regarding combat modifiers, and have tried to update my section on combat modifiers to be in-line with SlowThinker's table. BTW SlowThinker (or anyone else), when a Fighter is attacked by a cruise missile in a city WITHOUT SAM or SDI, then the fighter does NOT scramble and their is NO combat modifier - correct?

                              Terrain Conversion Chart:
I revamped the terrain conversion chart to combine the 3 individual flowcharts on the page into a single integrated flowchart. Please let me know what you think. I also added movement cost and defense modifiers (BTW I just remembered that I should have converted the defense modifiers on the terrain chart from the +nn% type to the xnD type as per SlowThinkers suggestion - I will to that for the 0.95 release).

                              Other Changes:
I made several other more minor changes to the tech tree, city improvements page, wonders page, terrain chart, and units page based upon some of my own ideas and on feedback from Sodak and especially SlowThinker.

                              Please send me your feedback!!
