  • Civ2 music files?

Somehow, the guy I bought my civ2 CD from managed to delete the music files for the game. I have attempted to find replacement files online, but have been unsuccessful. Can anyone here help me out?
    Thanks

The "music files" are on the CD. if the music doesn't play while you're playing the game, check if the Play Music option in the Main Options menu is checked...

what version are you playing? Classic (2.42 at max)? Conflicts (2.62)? Fantastic Worlds (2.78)?

      hehehe..can you say file sharing?

You'll have to live without the music.Good news is you can stick your own cd for tunes, since you have the no cd crack

The "music files" are not on the CD. If that were the case, I'd have no problem. I realize you get all types here, buyt from here on in, assume I have basic computer skills. Thanks.

Smash, when I purchased this game used, it came in the box and with the scenario CD/Fant-World CD. The CDs are legit (not burnt by the seller). Yet, for some reason, the music files on the main CD are missing. I don't know why this is the case. All the sounds are present, it's only the music that's missing. I have been using my own music, but can't remember the civ2 stuff. I was just looking for a spot I could pick those up. If it's something that would make people uncomfortable, no problem. If not, though, I'd appreciate a direction to be pointed in. L)

        Thanks.

Wellm, the music files are CD tracks, and I doubt the guy who sold you the legit CD was actually able to remove them. But even assuming they are removed, you won't find any replacements on the web. How do you think is that going to work, playing CDA files from a web server?

Though I've ripped all of them and now have a nice little MP3 collection of Civ2 music. If that is what you mean, it's 45.3 megs. EMail, ICQ transfer?

ok no offense intended...it just seems no one wants to pay for anything anymore

Anyways...I have heard of this before.I beleive a number of copies were put out fairly recently(last 2 years or so) that do not have the music on the cd.I kinda think these were imperfects that were lying around in a warehouse somewhere.Perhaps sent to cd oblivion after the "no music" thing was found...then someone decided to make a few bucks with them since mp3s and what not are so popular that most don't listen to original game soundtracks anymore while playing.

And as consumers,pc game buyers are incredibly tolerant of some of the crap that is shoved our way

In my opinion the music of civ2 is irrevelant
If you have the sounds, it should be ok
