I just got finished reinstalling Civ2 and then the MGE patch, then the update patch from CivFanatics. Then I installed the no CD patch for MGE. Whenever I try to run the program, I get this message:

    SMEDS APPLICATION ERROR

    Error: ERR_RESOURCENOTFOUND

    File: D:\Ss\Smeds32\Port.cpp

    Line: 1012

Stack Trace not yet available in WIN32

has anyone ever encountered this? can someone help me?

Maybe he'd just like to play Civ without having to put in the disk? I know it annoys me, which is why I don't install MGE.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

This sounds like 1 too many steps. If you have MGE then all you need is the official 1.3 patch(and the no-cd crack if you want it) and not the update patch from CivFanatics. Should go 1) Reinstalling Civ2 2) Then the MGE 1.3 patch 3)Then the no CD patch.
