  • Civ2 causing stack fault

I recently reinstalled civ2, but when I try to play, I get this error message:

Civ2 caused a stack fault in module 1R41.DLL at 0002:109D

Someone help! I'll give you any information about my computer that you need...

I think you need to update Indeo drivers and/or install winG. WinG is on the cd and indeo drivers are available on the web.

I got it to work...it works fine when I run it without the cd in the drive. How odd...

But, I probably should update my drivers anyway. Thanks!

Only need the CD to play MGE and ToT, earlier versions let you bypass the cd-rom not found pop-up. Also it only crashes when you run a video, initial start up, after building a wonder, talking to the high council, and losing a game. Most people leave the video files on the disc so once you remove the disc, problem solved. But for a real fix you can go to my site, http://hometown.aol.com/cedricgreene/ , and download the latest Indeo video drivers and codecs.
