I haven't played CIV 2 in about 2 years...
...until recently that is.
Every day I take a train to work, an hour and Half each way, and my usual way of passing the time was to read a book. You can imagine how expensive that gets (about £6 a week - not including the cost of new book shelves or wives etc)
About a week ago I installed Civ2 on my company laptop, next best option (or so I thought) as NT4 is incompatable with CIV III. Sat down in the carrage, logged in and...
....AAAAH and it all came flooding back

There is something about CIV 2 that CIV 3 fails to capture. Not sure what it is, or whether I will keep the feeling over the next few weeks, but I am enjoying it now.

So everything isn't yet lost when it comes to good old Civ II. 
But when I have spare time, I'm sure you can find me playing Civ II.
