      Yes, long live civ2
Dont' forget the succession games, I great way to enjoy civ2 and write some nice stories. There's the invasion earth and the True gift of the gods here in the general forum and two (fantasy and sci-fi) in the ToT forum.
Whenever I reread those stories, I get a kick and want to play again

those are pure joy to read,I hope the ppl playing them keep on going and telling the story of their civilization...just reading those stories I feel like I'm playing the game myself...it's great.(and i hope it never ends)

Hope springs eternal?? Firaxis stuck us with an inherently flawed beta test version and called it Civ III.

By Summer there will likely be more people playing Civ II than play Civ 3!

Civ II was FUN, challenging, and beter in so many ways. Plus we had a Cheat Mode (useful for a lot more than "cheating") and scenario-building.
