Does anyone know if Civ2 will run on windows XP or if I upgrade an I going to loss it for ever.

I'm 99,99% sure it'll run just fine on WinXP...
It runs great on Win 2000 and
WinXP = Win 2000 + extra compatability for Win9x

When you install Civ 2 on Win98 you have to use Ctrl+Alt+Del to close all other programs(Even Prograsm in Sys Tray) before it will install.

Hmm, I don't remember having that problem although I used Win98 for over a year... is it documented or did it just happen to you?

UCC works just fine under Win 98 SE, or at least it doesn't
crash so often.

IIRC this quirk is caused by the installer for CiC and FW - both 2.42 and MGE install on 98 without this hitch ..."Our words are backed by empty wine bottles! - SG(2)
