  • City to city auto routes

How do i set up automatic fly routes from city to city? I want my planes to get to the front without having to click on them all the time. I know there's a way to do this, but i've lost the manual and can't find it on the menu bars.

    Thanks for any help!

    Go To

are you referring to the go to command? just hit the 'g' button on your keyboard. I'm not sure what your referring to with the "automatic fly routes" but i bet its the goto command.

    And welcome to APolyton!

I wont' do that, i promise

And im not talking about the "go" command. I know that one already as it's in the menu. I'm talking about a command that makes the fly routes automatic. I just started playing the game again after a 3 yr hiatus, and i remember before setting it up so there were automatic fly routes from city to city. In other words, when your city makes a new unit, it automatically sends that unit to another city-city-city etc until it reaches the front. When you click a certain key, you can see the routes layed out on the map. I just can't remember how to do that.... :|

      Help?

are you sure you aren't talking about an other game??
In Civ2 the only way I know is the Go command, but isn't there something like you described in SMAC??
(The only other thing I can think of is that you are mistaking it for an airlift but that only goes with landunits("L"-key))

(btw Welcome to these fora )

Ya must be another game. You can only hit command+G which brings up a city list and you choose one.Or click and hold the mouse on a square.A little "go" will appear, release the mouse and cross your fingers.

Airlift is another way to move but it is not automated in any way.
