BTW, Julius, if you really converted Lund in 1852, I had better hurry up if I wish to be able to sack Paris before 1940
« LaFayette nous voilà ! » It was a thank you 141 years later, was it not. Anyway, I can’t tell what I’ve done during this 703 years ! Must have been great but I don’t remember anything.

No problem, Julius.
I downloaded your zip and my game is now without Advanced Flight.
I know that there are two possible solutions for me :
1) Ask Riba
2 solutions for me, I said:
1) Ask Ribannah to teach me 'Might and Magic' (but Enroth is a long way from here)
2) Ask the SGs to give me a course in 'micromanaging of folders and subdirectories' (I bring a few bottles of Gaillac wine with me, so as to make it even more friendly )
As far as the crusades are concerned, I am quite sure that the situation is very bad if it took you 700 years to build a few caravans. But I used to be one of the good specialists of caravan rehoming ...
1155: The wise and revered king Apolyton V has decided to get advice from a specialist of caravan rehoming.
Sound advice is in fact badly needed since the managing of the English Empire has been so poor during the last 60 years.
Noble leader
Your kingdom lives in luxury. This is fine for the morale of your people, but it is no good at all when fighting the infidels.

This holy crusade will be won by the means of gold, information and strong soldiers. You have given me ten years. Follow my advice and you will get gold (and gold is helpful when information and strong soldiers are needed)

Here is my short term plan in order to improve your cash-flow by 50%. I tell you later how to spend it wisely IMHO.
Give those Infidels Hell, La Fayette. - good to hear that you have succeeded in getting on top of this scenario thing - I can only agree with julius - sixty years of mismanagement is hard to follow - but you have to follow 70!!
First of all, if the game plays very fast, I won't be back until tuesday of next week. If you're in a hurry, skip me and improve your chances to win. I am eager to see how the great economists will do to win by trade. As I said, in a few turns London should celebrate, that was my main achievement (unfortunately not to be seen while in command). But is not caravan rehoming a little cheat ? Not that I mind much and I guess that the economy is some sort of cheat anyway
Good luck and see you in Saint-Agrève or Jerusalem

1155: new settings chosen; cash-flow of the English civ increased from 105 to 157 gold/turn
1157: French ask for 839g to maintain alliance; English reply NO; end of the 'entente cordiale'
1159: Gold from Liverpool delivered in Narbonne=180 gold
Silver from Limerick del. in Brügge= 125g
1160: Gems from Waterfall delivered in Toulouse=144g
1161: Gold from Dublin del. in Stettin= 258g
1162: Gold from Exeter del. in Marieburg=54g
Glorious city of Marieburg bought for 432g
Gems from Oxford delivered in Marseille=126g
Majesty
Gold was needed; both your Treasury and your cash-flow have been doubled during the last 10 years.
Peasants were needed; their number has been increased from 4 to 10.
The size of your glorious capital city of London has been increased from 11 to 16 (and might be increased to 18 with help of the 2 merchants waiting at the Northern Gate, if your next adviser feels like it)
(the zip file will be attached when I manage to learn how to zip a file; hopefully tomorrow morning)

I said I used to be a champion at caravan rehoming, but there was a long discussion about that on this forum a few months ago and someone explained that it is written somewhere (caravan orders?) that caravans should not be rehomed. So I stopped rehoming. I haven't rehomed ONE caravan since then.
But I remain very interested in caravans, since they are the second most powerful unit in this game (just after the vet spy )
