Antiquity

This is a game I found at download.com (http://download.cnet.com/downloads/0...st-7-2.1708049) and I've never heard of it before. It's supposed to be some kind of a freeware sequel to Civ1 (seems awful to me).
Has anyone heard of Antiquity before and can you tell me how you actually play the game.

I downloaded the zip file and tried it out but it didn't work. The only thing I could do was open the readme which basically said, "We gave up on this game. If you want to have a try you can see our source code at . . . ." There were a couple of reviews at the download site but I don't know how they got it to work.

The game worked for me but don't worry, you haven't missed much.
