  • Wonder movie music pieces?

Ok, I figure if you guys don't know this no one does. I'm trying to find information about the music pieces chosen for the Civ 2 wonder movies. I would like a list of all the various pieces used.

Failing that, I just want to know the name of the Bach piece chosen for one of the wonders; I forgot what one exactly but I think it was Newton's College. It's a harpsichord/organ thing I believe.

Thanks for any info. This is one of the few things that doesn't seem to be available on this site!

As far as I know, the song you're looking for is used for the Bach's Cathedral wonder, and its "Tocata Y Fluga"

This one we know see http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...hlight=toccata
There have been a number of attempts to identify all the civ music - try searching the forums with key words like 'music', but AFAIK we have never managed to pin them all down ...

Well, I don't think it's Toccata and Fugue in D-minor I'm talking about. That one goes something like:
"me re me - re do ti la si - la"

It's an ominous-sounding solo organ thing. The one I'm thinking of is this kind of banging harpsichord with an organ over it. I really think it was Newton's College...what does Newton's College play? I've been too busy to check for myself since yesterday but that's what I recall, that it wasn't the "obvious" Bach's Cathedral one.

        Thanks anyway.

Okay, the Vivaldi Concerto 10 in B-minor is the same tune but I don't think it's the same work. After further research I think the actual piece could be Bach's transcription of that same music for harpsichords:

J.S. Bach - Concerto for 4 Harpsichords and Strings in A-minor, BWV 1065

I found some crappy samples on the net for this but it seems that different versions vary wildly in how they're played...the one in the wonder movie is powerful sounding but the ones I heard were kind of wimpy and/or slower. The movie also sounded like there was an organ in there somewhere but I could be wrong.

While we're asking questions, what the heck is the music for Adam Smith's? I think I might have played it, but I can't remember.
