someone knows how manny turns are there in civ2's longest game?
how does the turns system works, i always forget when it starts to increase 20 years per turn and a year per turn... etc....

is there a way to change the years increase other then the options in the scenario options?
something like 1/4 year per turn?

what's the easiest way to "cut" parts of gifs from one gif to the other?

    thanks

The time that passes per turn is based on difficulty level. Here's a chart. If I can make the damn layout work:

YEARS PER TURN NUMBER OF TURNS
    PER TURN

    CHIEF/WAR PRINCE KING EMP/DEITY

    50 250 60 60 60
    25 - 40 40 40
    20 - - 50 75
    10 50 150 50 25
    5 50 50 50 -
    2 50 50 50 50
    1 150 150 150 150

Thus, the higher the difficulty level, the fewer the number of turns in a full game. I have no idea how you'd change the turn equation.

Edit. Jeez, talk about a messy layout. Okay, the Years Per Turn Per Turn are the first number down the left-hand side. The numbers across from the first number apply to the appropriate difficulty levels. I wish I knew I how to lay out charts in this system,

That is a mess you need to learn some html.

Beleive or not map SIZE also dictates how many turns(depending on difficulty level).Larger maps have more turns on lower than diety levels.

You can check this by loading a game on,say prince level, small map.Use cheat menu and enter turn#470.Now repeat on medium and large prince level maps.

Is it hard? By which I mean, can a computer simpleton learn it? If so, how and where?

Its a language so you can learn a little or a lot. There are some free html writing programs at download.com for the MAC.
I got something called htmlcreator 2.6 there.

....or you could use the posting options built into the forums to make a list

you can mess forums up if you don't know what you are doing so..... know what you are doing.

In the old days there was a link to explanations of those sorts of things. I couldn't find one in this new fangled version.

Be fair. There are more than couple of threads that could do with some messing up.
