  • Triple alliances?

Has anyone ever managed to get a three way alliance set up?

    Just curious.

Well, multiple alliances are easy. It's getting three nations to all be allied with each other.

in a recent OCC game, for awhile I was allied with all 6 other civs.Only lasted till they all met and then various "we insist you cancel your alliance with.......".If I refused, then that civ would cancel
The only thing that matters to me in a MP game is getting a good ally.Nothing else is as important.......Xin Yu

SIX alliances - that is wonderful! Try to maintain the ones with the Perfectionist civs in Republic/Demo as their trade routes yield more. Always safer to trade with friends - assuming there isn't a Mongol horde on your doorstep.

Triple alliances aren't too hard to obtain — at least on the lower levels of CivII. Higher up (Prince and above) it's nearly impossible, especially if you're the dominant power. What's really interesting is if the two nations you're allied with go to war with each other, then ask you to aid them. That's a real pain-in-the-butt.

ok i just landed my first triple alliance ... had to give 4 tech for the first one , go to war for another and give another 3 and declare war for this one. Two turns later i lost two of the alliances, man i suck or else the game was #$@#@ with me. As it was, i just destroyed everyone. Man i try to be nice and they keep antagonizing me..... WHY dammit?
