              Do i send to DaveV?

              Anyway,

In 1550 a new Comrade took over the government. He was cold and ruthless, attacking the Celts, his mortal enemy, relentlessly. His fleet terrorized coastal towns, capturing many. He used anything necessary to beat the Celts; Warships, knights, and even bribery. He built the Adam Smith Trading Company, to get more money to fund his war against the Celts. He expanded the empire more than any of his predescessors, adding more than 25 cities to the empire. He had three goals near the end of his career: To destroy the Celts
              To build the Darwins Voyage
To expand the empire to 100 cities.
Sadly, none of this happened during his lifetime, but he led his empire so far towards these goals that he died knowing his successor would accomplish what he could not. He died on January 1st, 1660.

25 new cities! Through conquest or building fresh? Either way, way to add to the sleaze!

I've gone fundy: I think we have enough techs to wipe out the AIs (explosives would be nice to have, but we're several techs away), and there didn't seem much point in delaying any longer. If only we had Sun Tzu (hint, hint!) we would be invincible.

1660 Railroad to Spanish for Leadership. Cardiff, Armagh, Kells taken.
                        1670 Industrialization discovered. Rhymney falls.
                        1680 Caerphilly, Tintagel fall.
                        1690 Aberystwyth taken.
1700 Tactics discovered. Darwin's Voyage (Theology, Fundamentalism). Insta-revolt to fundy . Caernarfon falls. Libraries sold (20% science, 80% taxes; they're not doing any good).
1710 Sell some more libraries I missed last turn.
                        1720 Bach's.
1730 Llangollen taken. Sneak attack by Mongols .
1740 Dinas Powys, Illauntanig taken. Celts destroyed (happy, SilverDragon?). Babs acquire The Wheel from the GL .
                        1750 Naples captured.

Stop the presses! In a horrifying display of ineptitude, I played my turns on MGE. Reading the OCC discussion on MGE/2.42 jogged my feeble memory. As I see it, we are faced with three choices:

                              1) I replay my turns. This will take a while, as I had more time for civ this week than I do on most weeks.
                              2) We play on in MGE, leaving the 2.42 players to gnash their teeth in the outer darkness.
                              3) I pass the save file I originally received to johnmcd to play.

                              Terribly sorry about this, everyone!

Well I can't play MGE so if we continue with that I am out, though you all know my thoughts on the sleaze so there would be no great gnashing of teeth from me.

However I would rather play than not so I'm happy to either play from where Dave took it up sometime this weekend or wait a week for Dave to replay it.
