I have been a fan of Microprose's Master of Magic for a long time now. I've
always wished there was a multi-player version. Then I saw a year or so ago
Civ II Gold. From what I read, it came with a Fantasy World module, which
simulated the game play of Master of Magic, commonly known as MOM. It was
exactly what I wanted but I had moved on to other games at the time, so
    passed it by then.

Now my daughter found MOM on the old PC and started to play it. I would like
to play the Civ Gold with her, but I can not find it in the stores any more.
Can anyone tell me how to get it?

I bought Call to Power, and it's great and all, but I wanted to have the
spell capabilities like I had in MOM. I see other games on the market which
look like it may be like MOM, but I really want to do Magic, in and out of
battle, hire heroes, research new spells, build armies and cities.

I found a copy of Civ II: Test of Time, but was hesitant to buy it. Not
knowing how if it had spell capabilities in the Midguard game or not. Can
anyone help me, and explain the differences in the various Civ II games, and
whether any do what I want?

    Thanks,
    TJ

    TJ:

Do some searching on the Internet. There is bound to be some legitimate sites out there still selling Civ II Gold/Civ II MGE (the former is the Macintosh title, the latter the PC title).

My local Wal-Mart store still has a copy of Civ II for sale to PC customers for $10. So you might want to recheck a couple of the brick-and-mortar outlets, too (though that depends on the diversity of retail where you live).

Try www.cdmag.com and click on the "Chips and Bits" link near the top of the page. Then do a search for Civilization, they have both Civ II Gold and ToT.

Or try www.ebgames.com, www.compuexpert.com, www.amazon.com and www.outpost.com. One of those is bound to have it, mac or pc, on top of the previous sites listed here. No problem.
