Well first please excuse my bad english

Mhh, actually there was a thread about this already but I can't answer there...

Until now I was always looking for a way to predict, which city would have a red citizen when i found a new one but i never found an answer. Neither here nor anywhere else. so maybe i was a little blind or I'm the first who writes it down here.

Well, I found a scheme which tells you which cities will have a first red or even black citizen.

Note: This is only one scheme, I know there is another one, I will soon post here. Further Schemes are not known to me yet.

The first number shhows the number of cities, the second one the city, where you'll have a first red or black citizen

    Despotism

    5 2 red

    6 1,2,5,6

    7 1,2,4,5,6

    8 all red

    9 all red + 2,6 black

    Monarchie

    7 4 red

    8 3,4

    9 2,3,4,8,9

    10 1,2,3,4,7,8,9,10

    11 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9,10

    12 all red

    13 all red + 4,10 black

    14 all red+ 3,4,9,10 black

    15 all red + 2,3,4,8,9,10,14,15 black

    16 all red + 1,2,3,4,7,8,9,10,13,14,15,16 black

    17 all red + 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9,10,12,13,14,15,16 black

    18 all black

    Republik

    9 6 red

    10 5,6

    11 4,5,6

    12 3,4,5,6,11,12

    13 2,3,4,5,6,10,11,12,13

    14 1,2,3,4,5,6,9,10,11,12,13,14

    15 1,2,3,4,5,6,8,9,10,11,12,13,14

    16 all red

Edit: Sorry, the tabs are not working that good. I may attach a table soon or something like that.

      Welcome, Shaft

IIRC a complete table has already been published by SlowThinker, but I don't remember the name of the thread. I shall ask him tonight.

The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits

Actually, I'm kind of surprise that I retrieved the link.

Lazy = efficient. (or at least that's what I say at work)

Actually the link may get them to visit the GL more.
Most people are too lazy to look for something, but once they see all the useful information, they will make the effort to go back for more.

                    So true
When I discovered Apolyton, I remember I spent 2 months reading the archive (no GL at the time) before posting my first post

(though you can bet I'm lazy: I never played for high score in my life )

Yeah, this place was much better than all the early stratagy books. I used to laugh at some of the stuff that was in them. And once MP came out, this was the only REAL place.

And some of the early ones totally ignored trade as a viable strategy.
