Order of Victory
Highest Soviet military decoration. Established 8 November 1943. Awarded to members of the armed forces high command for successfully conducting combat operations involving one or more army groups, and resulting in a radical change of the situation in favor of the Soviet Armed Forces. The five-pointed ruby star of the Order of Victory, adorned with 110 diamonds, was given to eleven outstanding Soviet military leaders and other international leaders of the Anti-Hitler coalition.
Order of Lenin
Highest national decoration of the Soviet Union. Established 6 April 1930. Awarded to civilians for outstanding services rendered to the State, to members of the armed forces for exemplary service, and to recipients of the titles of Hero of the Soviet Union and Hero of Socialist Labor. Also awarded to factories, cities, regions, and republics.
Hero of the Soviet Union
Honorary title established 16 April 1934 with the Gold Star medal instituted 1 August 1939, by Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Supreme Soviet. Awarded to both military and civilian personnel for personal or collective deeds of heroism rendered to the USSR or socialist society.
Hero of Socialist Labour
The Gold Star medal "Sickle and Hammer" was instituted by a Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Supreme Soviet, 22 May 1940. It was instituted to distinguish citizens who were honored with the title of "Hero of Socialist Labor" which had been officially awarded since 1938. The title of "Hero of Socialist Labor" was given for heroic achievements in labor such as significantly increasing production efficiency, and for successful implementation of methods and techniques which furthered the development of the State economy, science and culture.
Order of the Red Star
Established 6 April 1930. Awarded to ground forces or naval personnel of all ranks and collectively to units for outstanding service in defense of the Soviet Union in both peace and war.
Order of the Red Banner
Established 1 August 1924.This was the first Soviet order. Awarded to military personnel of the Soviet Army and Navy who display exceptional courage, self-denial, and valor during combat.
Order of Glory
Established 8 November 1943. Awarded to noncommissioned officers of the ground forces and to air force personnel up to and including the rank of junior lieutenant for "glorious deeds" while on active service
Order of Alexander Nevsky
Established 29 July 1942. Awarded to division, brigade, regiment, battalion, company, and platoon commanders for personal and skillful command of their units in action.
Valiant Labour Medal
Established 27 December 1938. Also known as the "Medal for Labor Heroism". Awarded to laborers who have heroically dedicated themselves towards the construction of a socialist society; demonstrated a complete understanding of equipment in order to provide a high level of efficiency; and for those who have made significant contributions in the areas of science, manufacturing, and culture.
Medal for the Defense of the Soviet Arctic
Established 5 December 1944. Also known as the "Defense of the Soviet Transpolar Region" and "Defense of Polar Region" medal. Awarded to all servicemen of the Soviet Army, Navy, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and civilians who took part in the defense of the Soviet Arctic. Only awarded to Generals who have moved on or who have suffeciently secured the campaign area.
Medal for the Defense of Leningrad
Established 22 December 1942. Awarded to all servicemen of the Soviet Army, Navy, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and civil citizens who took part in the defense of Leningrad.The famous siege of Leningrad lasted for 900 days, beginning 8 September 1941 until 27 January 1944. Only awarded to Generals who have moved on or who have suffeciently secured the campaign area.
Medal for the Defense of Stalingrad
Established 22 December 1942. Awarded to all servicemen of the Soviet Army, Navy, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and civilians who took part in the defense of Stalingrad. Only awarded to Generals who have moved on or who have suffeciently secured the campaign area.

Medal for Accomplishment in IRC Chat
Awarded in recognition of tirelessly working towards the greater good of the Motherland, sacraficing hours at a time to work closely with his other comrades in a fast paced group environment by means involving Apolyton's IRC channel. Awarded to all citizens of the Soviet Union who have been recognized as contributing significantly in #rfdg by those who have previously received the Medal for Accomplishment in IRC Chat. Winners are given the privledge of being Operators of the chat room.
