  • Jan 1942, Thank Lenin that Winter is here!

First of all no one should play for 12 hours. Front Commanders should analyze the file and post in their threads what they plan on doing. So the non players can comment as well.

    Lets try this OK?

    Marshall/ Armaments Ministers Turn:

Built Steel Plants in Chelyabinsk and Ashkabad
All laborers either building industry or a few moving into place to begin building.

A few Barracks bought in the rear areas.

Lots of Red Guards built on or near the Front.

Brand new Katyusha Rockets airlifted to Moscow. (Smolensk had possible interception and I wasn't going to risk a new Katyusha on that!)

    German Turn:

    10 units lost
Lots of action against Partisans in the Pripyat.
Minor battles around Rostov, Leningrad and Perekop. The worst part of this was two artillery units were left exposed outside of Rostov and a Light Tank outside of Perekop. (Paul you need to make sure to be able to have enough movement left to get those units back in cities before the end of the turn.)

Labor Brigades are forming in our cities. (Front Commanders can not have these UNLESS they post a good reason to keep them with there wish list in the Economic Ministers Thread. Greeny desparately needs these for roads on oilfeilds in the Caucass. Lots of rubles for us to purchase war machines!)

Leningrad was supposed to be cut off but the hedge Hog did not appear because a KV-1 was on the hex.

    Marshalls additional Action:
Comrade H Tower is being sent to the Gulag for questioning my authority and my sincerety. He claimed or questioned the statement that "I am the Rodina", and also questioned my comments about being God like which of course means Lenin. For those crimes he is sentenced to the Gulag. Goodby H Tower, I will begin a collection to send you blankets!

It is the duty of every soviet citizen to be on the look out for those who would threaten our Great Experiment in Communism, whether that threat be from without, or from within, you comrade, have been acting strangely of late.

That is a matter of opinion comrade! And remember there is a fine line between Genius and insanity. My defense of the Rodina has been outstanding and godlike and by the way the Rodina and I are one! I can not be sent away!

          Beware of Counter-Revolutionaries!

Lock your doors. Never enter a dark place. Be wary of crowds. A man wearing a coat is an enemy. Shoot!

This is a state of emergency. Agents of the fascist conspiracy have parachuted in and around Moscow for no other purpose than one of sedition and sabotage. By way of advanced Nazi Brain Washing techniques, these agitators are capable of controlling a man's every thought and action. No one is safe.

This is a fight for survival. The wicked huns must be pushed back. The invasion must be repelled. There is no choice. The very existance of our glorious workers paradise is in jepordy! You must kill!

True Soviet workers are far too hardy to require coats.
"Paul Hanson, you should give Gibraltar back to the Spanish" - Paiktis, dramatically over-estimating my influence in diplomatic circles.

I would also like to tell everybody that they must throw their useless red army against the Germans. We get TWO useful partizan units for every useless red army unit. So do it, please.

Comrade Yopov, let us know when you are checking out the file as well. That way we dont have two comrades playing at the same time.

                          Little action this turn.

Returned one veteran KV1 to the Murmansk front on my own initiative.

5 unit stack guarded by a German 88 Gun killed just east of Leningrad by my Tank Hunters.

One green red army unit joins the partisans
