  • This month's events:
*1 German Wehrmacht SG killed on the mountains in Norway
*2 Finnish infantery killed in the woods of inner Finland
*1 convoy airlifted to Baku. (Because Grozny had already conducted an airlift operation, I couldn't airlift it to that city)

    • Troops are closing in on it, but I couldn't yet attack the city this turn.

I think Hammerfest is due north of the unit that is damaged.

Yop knew the assault would have to be in April. He and I already went thru that. Having to take out an Infantry and sustain a Red Guard being damaged is really going to make the assault interesting...........

Yop I didn't see any other Red Guards following up, do you have a third about a turn behind the first two?

        • No, I don't. I used that one to kill some Finnish.
          They were threatening Kandalashka.

          • Do you think this attack can still succeed? If so, go for it, if not, go back into defensive positions and prepare to attack the Finnish in the summer.

            • Report for April 1942

Russian troops were very succesful this month.

*2 Finnish infantery killed in central Finland
*Finnish panzergrenadiers killed north of Kandalshka. The had foolishly moved onto a swamp square where they were an easy target for our katyushkas
*German infantery south of Hammerfest killed
*German infantery in Hammerfest killed. No garrisson is there anymore. Hopefully the city will be captured next month

I have a question though, is it absolutely imparitive that you keep both Mechanized Infantry? or can we send one of them down to Leningrad for the Baltic Front to use?

                    • Both mech. infantery have their uses. But if the Baltic front needs one desperately, I could send one up.

                      • I have no such desperate need.
I am a little perplexed about the units in Tikhvin though, the city have been given to my front I believe, but the units guarding it are homed to your cities. Do you want me to have them (as you've left them there for a long time now) or should I leave them alone?

Most of them I believe are reguler red army units. Some one should make partisans out of them or turn them into sheilds. Thats just my suggestion.

I think you and Yop can work something out.

If you need to move them next turn is summer!
