    - 1 unknown (Sirian)
    - 1 Frontier guard (Sirian)
    - 1 WW2 Artillery (Lebanese)
    - 1 Machine gunner (Sirian)

    Israeli casualties

Al Kushniah is occupied by 2 T-34s and one Palmach.

          SIRIANS PUSHED AWAY!

Israel is yet again victorious in the Golan under the command of Wilhelm Katz.
There were hundreads of reports of small sirian attacks and reconnaissance telling a large sirian offencive has begun.

The battles were easy to win, cause of the superb morale of our men!

          Sirian casualties

          - 1 T-34
          - 3 1870 artillery
          - 3 WW1 artillery
          - 1 Arab soldier
          - 1 arab legion
          - 1 Fanatic

          Lebanese casualties

          - 1 soldier

          Palestinian/Jordanian

          - 1 miner (engineer)

          Israeli casualties

          NONE

          Nahariyyah

          The lebanese attacker: killed!

            THE GOLAN SECURED!

it has been for 2 months that I have been planning to eliminate the syrian offencives in the golan for good.
            This month it happened.
A Palmach unit in Mishmar Yarden was given orders to go by the river towards El Qunaytirah where a 1870 cannon had been spotted. It was eliminated with ease.
The next phase was a palmach from Mishmar Yarden ,that had been transfered the same turn, should destroy the 1870 cannon outside Al Kushniah to safe offencive resources. It was done. The path was clear for our palmachs and T-34s.

During this time 2 battles had been commenced.

-An AA shot down an Syrian Avia near Mishmar Yarden
-Our T-34 in Kafer Szold had its revenge. Syrian T-34 annihilated.

            Siege of El Qunaytirah

A T-34 regiments started the bombardment and then proceeded to street battles among our brave Palmachs!
The Arabs had obviously been expecting this attack, because of the weak defences between the road of Al Kushniah and El Qunaytirah. And it was noticed when patient Syrian soldiers ambushed our tanks. We survived with no major casualties. I myself, walked through El Qunaytirah today and I noticed our troops kept the city well in order and a ceremony was held.

I was told from officers in Kafer Szold, that Syrian troops had been surrendering now that they noticed that they were surrounded. Two fanatics around El Qunaytirah did not surrender so they were killed.

            Now the the mathematics:

            Syrian casualties

            - 2 T-34s
            - 2 Frontier guards
            - 1 AA
            - 2 Avia's
            - 2 fanatics
            - 2 1870 cannons

            surrendered troops (known):

            - 1 machine gun
            - 1 frontier guard

            Israeli casualties

            NONE

This month Wilhelm Katz recieved tons of paperwork for many other areas to be a general of. He familiarised the area and known resistance.

                Mid-Israel (south)

Ben Shemen was captured after a surprisingly quick attack after the siege of Ramallah. One traitor Kibbutznik surrendered after the fall of Ben Shemen.
The arab cities of Jericho, Nablus, Tul Karm and Qalqilya are surrounded by us (except Jericho has one front on its own side) and be will conquer them quickly.
An arab soldier was destroyed on its reconnaisance route north of Ben Shemen.

                Mid-Israel (north)

A fortress was built only a few kilometers north of Nablus. Reconnaisance tells us that Nablus is aware of this and is preparing for defence. Their soldiers will be no match for our palmachs and artillery!
A fanatic was destroyed on the way there.

The Golan and a bit east

A Sirian 1970 cannon was destroyed after a deadly Palmach commando mission. On the mission a radio transmission to the cannons was recieved by our Palmachs informing of a T-34 only 200km away from El Qunaytirah. The message was sent to General Wilhelm Katz in Mishmar Yarden. Later the general gave orders for a Palmach and T-34 in the area to fortify heavily into a fortress in the mountains. We shall destroy the attackers by defence!

One lost Lebanese soldier division was killed near Metullah. It seems that this front will take a long time until it is fully won.. Sirian fanatics were destroyed north of Kafer Szold.
A threat for general Wilhelm Katz arose when a fanatic squad was discovered near Mishamr Yarden. it was immediatly killed by the Mishmar Yarden guards.

A Palmach commando strike destroyed the units (including one Kibbutznik) near the Jordanian city of Irdid.

                Other

Wilhelm Katz is planning two major offencives:

                1. To capture of Safed that will grant us two roads to Lebanon.

                2. To liberate Irdid and Ajlun to secure the lonely Ein Gev and to push the arabs back from two fronts, the golan and this front.

                Total casualties this month:

                Arab

                -2 Kibbutznik
                -1 Unknown unit
                -4 Frontier guards
                -1 1870 cannon
                -2 Machine guns
                -2 Arab soldiers
                -3 Fanatics

                Israeli

                None

Eh, It's useless to fortify units inside fortresses: they gain 100% extra defense regardless of wether they are fortified or not, and the bonuses don't tack.

Ive tested the game on SP. Mountains have +200% defence. With two units inside it, it is possible that both will survive only with bad health. If im unlucky, one will get destroyed. Or both.

What I mean is that ordering a unit in a fortress to fortify is superfluous.

he means no extra bonus for fortifying inside a fortress, simply placing the unit in the fortress gives maximum bonus.

I didnt know this so useful information...

ooh, doesnt it take 2 turns to fortify properly (or do you just mean that the fortress doesnt have any defence bonus?)

A fortified unit has a +50% defensive bonus (It does take 2 turns to fortify)
A unit in a fortress has a +100% defense bonus
A fortified unit in a fortress, however, only has a +100% defense bonus. For all combat-related effects, it's the same as if it was unfortified.
