So when does illustrious President Ixnay plan to play the next session and end all this inter-Minister bickering over what to do when to whom and how?

oops, sorry about that
I can be the consumate micromanager. When i first really started getting into Civ, i used to ICS on large maps, and would look at ways to improve each city each turn, whether it was happiness, gold or production
I had kind of gotten away from that, but having 4-7 days between turns has put me in a position to start doing that again

I've noticed. And I've also noticed that you want to micromanage several different Minister positions.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate good suggestions and you have some good ones, I've incorporated many of them. But let me me try to balance your needs with the needs of the other Ministers, please.
But you are also not doing some of the things you *should* be doing. The Minister of Trade should be specifying Transport and Freight movements to specific destinations, showing paths and escort ships, timing issues of delivery and how Freights will get to pickup points, etc.
I know it is tempting to try and guide all aspects of the game, but we are supposed to try to compartmentalize our focus (as Ministers) to the area we are elected.
I try not to involve myself (as Minister of City-Planning) in the details of trade routes or military campaigns. The reverse also has to be true.
If you want to be the City-Planner, then run for that office next month (and you would be a good one).
OK?

I'm certainly considering the position of city planner for march (assuming this game hasn't been completed by then)
As for the paths for the transports, i had originally thought that to be the minister of war's jurisdiction (I did in my report to the pres last turn specify the rendesvous of a couple transports (so that the gold could go north, while the other 3 freights go south) after finding we didn't want to trade with the mongols. I also had a path picked out for the gems to Nanking in my report, along with suggestions for how to deliver freight domestically. It seems the president took those suggestions and cross-referenced them. (did a gems caravan take the barcelona transport to nanking?)
After that turn, i definitely realized i needed to be a bit more specific in my directions. Of course this turn, starting with effectively no deliverable freight, I've had a bit of work to do, so i initially started with the taxes (which turned into the superhighway poll) then looked to freight (WIAtown poll), and kind of branched out from there - everything else i tried to limit to responding to other minister's posts. Next set of turns, hopefully I'll be a little bit better again.
It's easy to get confused about what one should do as Minister. The Minister of Trade should *always* be specifying the best destinations for trade goods and the way to deliver them, who else would? That's why I pay atention to where the Minister of Trade needs Transports and even Freight production.
I always want to please all Ministers, but sometimes I have to balance the different requirements.
But I always consider the needs of the Minister of Trade highly!

I posted when I wanted to play next in my report thread for this set of turns. I think it was either tuesday or wednesday that I wanted to play.
Missed that! Sorry.

<------ (Minister of Science, this set of turns)
Now, I trust y'all won't try to pull a fast one by lowering the Science rate, again.

I am solidly in favor of maintaining the best Science rate we can manage as long as there are important techs to research!

So, when does our President next plan to retake the helm of our ship of state? It's Wednesday and I haven't been asked for poll results or Ministerial reports.
No rush, just wondering what the plan is.

For now, the session is going to take place as soon as I finish a program that's due tomorrow morning. So it'll be tomorrow afternoon at the very latest.
