  • Tale of the years: 1865 onwards

Following my inaugaration, I immediately turned my attention to the growing crisis in the north. What follows is the transcript of the years 1865-1868.

    1865:
Following obiwan's fundraising suggestions, I sell improvements in the cities he listed as well as following his build orders.
Spy bribes mongol cavalry outside of Kazan.
Bribed cavalry attacks stacked units on flat terrain and wins.
In a gamble, cavalry stationed in Kazan attacks mongol stack on hills and wins.
Bribed cavalry retreats to Kazan (looks like we'll hold it for another turn at least)
Destroyer stationed in Naples destroys 2 mongol transports
Cavalry in Issus defeats wounded Celt cavalry

    1866:
    Chinese develop electronics
    Mongol destroyer defeats our destroyer
    Vikings acquire communism from Carthage
    Carthage acquire chemistry from vikings
    Vikings & Carthage ally
    Vikings acquire polytheism from carthage
    Carthage acquires tactics from vikings
Celt cavalry defeated by cavalry in Issus
2 more Celtic cavalry move towards Issus
    Valencia, Seville build caravans
Gold caravan arrives in Naples for 100 gold
another Gold caravan arrives in Naples for 236 gold
Cavalry in Kazan attacks mongol engineer/cannon stack and wins. No units in vicinity of Kazan.
Bribe Celtic cavalry outside of Issus for 477 gold
Bribed cavalry defeats other Celtic cavalry

    1867:
Another celtic cavalry defeats cavarly outside Issus
Mongols acquire Amph. warfare from Celts
    Capua builds marketplace, begins library
Radio discovered, Adv. Flight begun (no mass production)
    Cadiz builds sewers, begins colosseum
    Malaga builds aqueduct, begins market
Cavalry falls while attacking mongol alpine outside Kazan
Rifleman defeats attacking alpine troops, is promoted
Cavalry in Issus defeats attacking Celtic cavalry
    Cremona builds temple, begins harbor
    Various freights constructed

And that's where I ended. The apparent crisis is over, without any cities lost. Screens are forthcoming.

excellent job handling of the mongols Too bad mass production wasn't an option Computers/seti would be quite useful.
