  • Foriegn Minister's Report: Carthaginian in 1160 AD

    They at war with us (I don't know why?) The Carths are a Republic, with 265 gold, Feud. And I wouldn't consider them as a threat, so peace, war, steal, trade, none.

    Its up to you!

        The carths are near tp our "middle island" area of cities. They also have an abundant supply of NON units via barbarians on thier lands. If we were to attack them we would have to stop short of acctually aquiring a city (which is good for republic anyway) to keep the NON units flowing

        Just some food for thought...My vote: Trade with them to keep them content, Make peace and buy lots of barb units for NON status. Then "remind" them of thier past transgressions when we have a huge army of those NON's

                Where there is no alternative outlet, our valuable pricey goods will go their way. However, this eventuality has not presented itself yet, so we don't need to sully ourselves with their lesser coinage just yet, Chinese and Japanese money being far more desirable.

                    Bribing Barb units to get "NONES". Amazing. It's depressing to realize how many tricks I never thought of on my own! If we had all gotten together for these Democracy "groupthink" games a couple years ago, I'd be a far better player now!

                      the carthaginian threat -->

                      make peace and bombard them with caravans and harvest NON barbs. (I intend to send a trireme to that region for transport of caravans/NON-units...)
