Two units per city should be enough for now, especially since we want to become a Republic and will have to pay a shield per unit each turn.

With no immediate threat of attack, it seems we're doing fine with just two per. Don't want to clog up our support or delay other production.

the only reason I put up the choice for 2 units or more was to get someoptions in the poll...no one with a sane mind could suggest the option for more units...I hope

Yup, two units are definitely enough as our cities aren't really threatened and let's continue with the almighty plan to success we decided in the other poll.

2 units is more than sufficient. Some interior cities will be fine with one vet and a dip, as long as there's an attack unit with 2x movement available by road in a nearby town.

In Repub, city walls and a good vet defender allow adequate defense without burning a shield per turn.

I'm sure we'll find a *few* cities with such great resources that we just *have* to permit them to join our peace-loving and benificent Republic/Democracy!

agreed 200% but take a look at our current army-> this is a No-NO at this moment...when we grow up, we can (and should) terrorise the world...
