  • Foreign Affairs Ministry Memo to King Hydey

    Your Majesty --

The ppl have spoken, and the Ministry has heard. It is our will that the empire spawn at least two diplomats as soon as practical. The first should be used to create an embassy with the warlike godless Japanese imperialist dogs, that we may better track and control their evil machinations.

At least one additional diplomat shall be required. this operative would be used primarily for exploration, preferably using a trireme. By implication, this diplomat may be called upon to map unknown territory, pop the occasional hut, seek out other civilizations, and perhaps bribe the occasional NONE unit. When another civ is found, our goal would be to establish an embassy.

Two or more new dips would be preferred, though the needs of the empire are many and we understand you must weigh each decision with great concern for the overall good of the ppl. Your humble minister's recommendation is to always build an extra diplomat to help keep order on the homefront, and send that dip to new lands as older dips are used up through service to your Royal Highness.

Oh, btw -- Our wise men are thirsty for technology. Though diplomats may not be the best way to acquire them, the ppl are not averse to resorting to this method -- especially against a warlike nation (where we already have an embassy) which is known to hold needed sciences in their slimy grasp.

The Foreign Ministry wishes Your Highness continued success in the management of our great nation's excellent progress. Godspeed, King Hydey!

    Faithfully submitted,

    -Jrabbit, Prime Foreign Minister

The Minister of War concurs with this recommendation. It is essential that we learn as much as possible about our enemies!

oi! no taking over the powers of your faithful city planner!

i've got precisely one hour left of school for this school term, then two weeks of holidays, so expect me to be a little more active for the remainder of my term of office.

The memo to our glorious and beneficent leader left out one small cliché....

"to boldly go where no diplomat has gone before..."

After all, we are seeking out new civilisations, and we may find life King, but not as we know it……
"the bigger the smile, the sharper the knife"
"Every now and again, declare peace. it confuses the hell out of your enemies."
