  • Imperial Expansion Ministers Report 240AD

    We now have 15 city's and are first in land area

    But as this is Deity and we have no happy wonder yet we should start focussing more on exploration and building up our city's then just trying to build as many city's as we can

    We also need a bigger navy for exploration and caravan delivery
    Our fleet should have at least 5 tiremmes asap, 2 for caravan delivery and 3 for exploration.

    The island of Vigo and the island east should get our imediate attention, Vigo is undefended and we dont know how far north the Japs are expanding

    If we can claim that island we can start to encircle them

    In the next couple of maps I put some suggestions for new citysites and roadbuilding projects.

    (I found out I could just nistall paint from my W98 cd )

      Eastern main island

      We should build a road from Salamanca to Barcelona asap, this will increase both our delivery speed and revenue from our caravans

      I have marked 3 potential cityspots:

      The one in the south has a seal nearby giving it good trade (and happyness in rep)

      In the east is a good spot for a harbour to send our caravans from. (And our army should the need arise )

      The city north of Vigo is just the next logical step in our expansion north.

          Question to our Prime Minister: What the hell is Pamplona doing on a forrest?
          If it was build one step north like I suggested we could have had another good city where the little mark is....

          And the lack of trade makes forrest city's a pain in the ass in rep

          Anyway, I mapped out the transisland highway and the 3 most usefull cityspots:

          The north we can grow very quick and once in rep we can mine the wheat to silk

          The whale city...has a whale

          And the eastern city is a good place for a ferryservice with our main island.

            1. Pamplona will be a small city of high production any trade arrows it needs will come from trade routes which makes it much better to build on the forest .

            2. I hate building on shielded grassland and as you only gave the dodgy instuctions of building a production city using the whale and pheasant, I built it on the best available site to accomplish this task.

            3. most useful cityspots in your opinion only

                If it has a whale and bird, why would you want to keep it small?

                Build on grass, in monarchy and using the whale it would have taken 7 turns to grow to size 2.
                Then using the bird it will grow to size 3 in another 8 turns.

                While build on the forrest it will take 20 turns for size 2 if we continue using the whale

                  Pole island

                  This island looks promising

                  The cityspot in the west looks as though it could have a whale waiting for us at sea once we send our ships out

                  In the north I suggest wait what, if any, special waits in the NW corner, It might be worthwhile to build on the jungle.

                        looks nice...
                        about building on a forest:
                        last map the forest next to A...when we build a city there we get the peasant and the fish and there is the possibility that a special is hidden under the gras just under B(it's a perfect spot in connection to the above and it could be a third one for the 2 wheats of the city underneath.)

                          Point taken. I should have said on the grass then.

                          Mr President, please refrain from building any more city's on forrests unless its build on a bird

                            Good point, and if we mine that grassland chances are there's a silk underneath $$$

                            But I believe we can never have enough port city's in an island game. And when we get mike's we can build all the city's we want.


                            On below map is marked how I would develop this island further.

                            The red spots are possible whale sites.

                            With city's at a,b,c,d, and a harbour further east we have a good connection with the north island once it builds a port on the western tip.

                            Those 4 city's are all ports so can build ships and can get good revenue from caravans

                            Oh, and I would build it ADCB btw
