  • The end...of the Carths

    part one

    see image!!!!
    we have >6600G
Ironclads will just keep the coastal cities empty
The fortressed cavalry follows the green arrow to explore the black and the spy stored in the same fort explores along the red arrow.
When both black areas are explored we start bribing and killing

there is quite a big chance the new capital is still on their main island(one of those 2 blacks)
    So the big question is:
Will we first take the capital and then bribe the hell out of them or
will we bribe the hell out of them and kill the capital along the way???

The 3 filled caravel(= army of 5cavalry 1 spy and 1 freight with oil) will move along the yellow arrow and if the capital is on black 1 it follows the yellow arrow till the end. If the capital is placed on black 2 then it will follow the last part of the ‘red/purple’ arrow.
The spy in the first caravel can land on spot 3 and bribe Gades(near our Cavalry…Rocky??)
This Cavalry can then be send to take the emptied city Cartenna.

I suggest Panormus,Carthage and Utica to start building a spy…their new capital will 99,9999% chance have city-walls.After we take away those walls we just throw some cavalry against their troops and take the city.

The 2 Cavalry stationed in Rusicade can go to Utica and get picked up by the caravel(which now is just outside the screen. and land near where the black spot is now.so they can be used to take the emptied cities :”Rusucurru and Alalia”

I think I have had all possible cities on this island…If I forgot one--> just bribe it

Estimated time to finish this off…5 or 6 turns maximum(one of those caravels needs 3 turns to arrive… )

I think it is safe to assume we can just mow them down as we march forth.

Before the capitol is found, just bribe the small cities - they are cheaper, and there will be no counterattack. Use our bad guys to slap them around!

Use some of our left over gold to rushbuild a few score improving city improvements in the empire.

Part 2 : the other island

It took some time before I could continue but here are the battleplans(actually we will just go over there and ask them to give us their cities )

      The second island:
there are 4 cities we don’t know the location of.(officially but we can make some guesses)
the 2 potential cities-locations on the second island are
      --> see marks on map

We have a transport with 3 spies and 4 Cavalry on its way to the Carths,it will arrive in 2 turns.
I would suggest disembarking 1 spy and let it explore the blue path .
The warrior should be killed by then and if there are other units around we can disembark 1 or 2 cavalry to convince them they should not be there .
We’ll probably find a city in that black area 1, and if needed a cavalry can be used to back up the spy’s words
Then the transport can go direction the other black spot and disembark a cavalry(blue arrow)
and if its next to a city we can let a spy do her job.

The Ironclad in the black circle can do some coastal patrolling and kill everything it sees.

estimated time for completion : 3 - 4 turns maximum

Great ! (as should say JA )
Due to the order of appearence, Leptis Parva is probably in the main Carthaginian island. So the plan is good to find it for destroying walls and conquering by cavalry.
About the North island, the clad patrolling along is a good idea, as it's possible the city supposed to be on the pink spot 2 would be nearer the alone fortress.

i believe that the government coffers will be able to support a massive bribing campaign, and our advanced troops should be able to finish off what's left behind

Plus now they know how to read our propaganda pamphlets (they got Literacy recently), their armies have started to cave at the first sign of conflict - hardly an Aployton army has even been damaged in attacks on Carthage!

The pamphlets suggest I am a large Hentai demon that would do unspeakable things to their women if they did not surrender, and that I preside over a Council full of beings with very short tempers. Hydey, for example, tortured an aide once that spilled his coffee by forcefeeding him a continuous supply of liquid laxative for 40 days. shade wears all black and carries a sickle; 123john is known simply as "John the Impaler", and the pamphlets confirm the rumour that Historian cavebear is involved in researching ways of watersealing "Submarines" - using prisoners of course.

So far the experiments have not yielded a single surviv- I mean successful test.
