Poll: Railroads

Looking at our islands one thing is very striking: We have no railroadlinks yet.

I think we should at least railroad our islands untill all our city's are connected, to achieve this I suggest we build more engineers in our newly conquered territories.
I would also like to free engineers from mining/terraforming for this IMO very urgent task.

With Railroads and soon to be discovered transports we can ship units from ALL our islands to the Indian/Babs and Chartagian islands in one turn

I've talked about this for a while. Buildning a couple of engineers takes little time and effort and pays of in the in the end through more food, shields and tradearrows.

We currently have 13 Engineers and 7 in production (for exactly the reasons that Minister of City Planning atawa points out). Some of them have just begun to RR (starting with Mines and Forests), and will continue those starts to connect the cities. His recommendation is sound (and reflects the true focus of the City Planner).

However, some of those places which need Engineers the most are barely keeping the Citizens fed, and Engineers would throw them into a hunger situation which will lead to Civil Disorder. I agree that Engineers are needed, but perhaps the Minister of City Planning could recommend specific cities where they would be both useful and supportable, and considering the current item being produced in the recommended cities.

Connect our cities! It will reap benefits, and keep our comrade engineers busy. We will be able to better stage invasions if all units can guarantee arrival at the transport on the same turn.

Connecting cities with railroad is an old suggestion of mine...

If we have idle Engineers, RRs are excellent. If they are involved in creating mines for the resources needed in our glorious war campaign though, we must leave them be.

Where there are cities away from the front lines, new Engineers should be built whilst the front is quiet. The War Ministry will need their production soon, so get it done whilst you can!

people , what a nice way you talk about the game , the first post was to go somewhere else , ....
but this thread was not put out of the subscribe thread , ..

so , after reading this thread , for what its word it , nice job , the way you talk , you ideas , very nice , ....

anyway , buiding a couple engineers seems logical , why , well , the let you improve the land , and on places that can not build one , try to sent one in .

people , in no way is this meant to "invade" your game , .. or this thread .

look it was never made to "invade" your game , it was , as stated before an accident , a mistake .
