Foriegn ministers report on the babylonians

We have no embassy with the babylonians so our information on them is fairly limited, we have discovered 3 of there cities and believe they may have 1 or 2 more, There capital is babylon and they are currently at peace with the romans, indians and ourselves. Past history has shown that they can not be trusted as they have attacked us unprovoked before.

I recommend that we build an embassy with the babylonians so that we may learn more about them, I would urge caution in our dealings with them for they have proven to be very aggressive towards us.

We need that embassy! We currently have a caravel carrying a caravan and diplomat to Thebes. I propose this caravel be used to transport a (to be built) diplomat to Babylon. The diplomat could be built in Ormond after the Ironclad there is done (in 5 turns - it will take the caravel longer for the return trip), or even in New Castellon (actually on the landmass that Babylon shares).

My vote for trust them means I doubt we need more defense there at the moment - we shall build up forces once the Egyptian/American campaign is completed.

    Minister of WAR, not peace.
    MrWIA.
    Consul.

Back to the ROOTS of addiction. My first missed poll!

Keep in mind that when we liberate Thebes from the running-dog Imperialist-Republican lackey Egyptians, we will also get Marco Polo's, which will provide us our 2 missing Embassies under someone researches Communism. So the Diplomat might be a waste that would be better used against the Americans.

I personnally agree but some people may feel we need to increase our defences so I gave them the option to vote that way.

I'm with cavebear. Thebes will fall soon, and this way we won't waste a dimplomat on something that isn't critical right now. Carthage is the only real long-term threat to us; everyone else is just an annoyance.

President post joined my preceding ones.
... but MarcoPolo Amb will expire, and before UN, we'll need an ambassy, more or less late.

Yes but that will take a while, in the meantime we can use the ships and resources elsewhere.

Yes, and so I voted for "Build embassy later".

The Babylonians are irrelevant. Resistance is futile.
