Someone mentioned in the titles debate that we could have medals instead, so I created these. I'm going to *try* to post them here, but I still haven't figured out how that works, so if it doesn't work, you can get them at:

The Presidential Citation, a small medal (for just being in the cabinet, maybe)

The Star of the United Apolytonia, for very, very effective Cabinet members or Presidents.

The Apolyton Medal of Honor, for only those who truly excelled.

We'll probably have to work out some sort of system for assigning these. We could probably make it the VP's job; at the end of the term, he could post a poll about every minister (including himself) and the President, asking which medal they should get, if any. That would keep corruption out of it.

What is all this with the "honorary" stuff? Titles, medals, etc?

I don't think it is either necessary and all that popular. You want honors and title? Run for office and do good important things for your civ. The People will decide (case by case) if it was worthwhile after you leave office.

We have named a few cities after former Leaders. There is Sodaq, Nalduria, Shade, and (most recently), "Bloomington". Maybe there will be a future "JRabbit Warren", "Cavebear's Lair" or "MWIAville". Or maybe not. Let people decide afterwards, not make it a standard thing with rules and tradition. We *don't* want this to get overorganized...

In what way do you mean "get to work"? What problem are you having?

                skywalker:

Upload the pictures from your hard drive, and they will work.

The reason they don't work from the web is this - geocities doesn't give the bandwith to link images from its server on to outside websites, due to the fact that.. well.. cuz its free..

The only web space I have is geocities. Is there any free service that will work?

Save any image you like to your harddrive. Size it to 600x600 pixels or smaller and you can enter it in the "Browse" part of a reply. It will then show up in the post. That's shorthand for those who only need a small help.

spoken as the AAAC would say it! All of skywalker's proposals are just sinister forms of organization no better than having a constitution!
