  • New Castellon City Production

This is a size 4 city on the east side of the Indian empire. (Babar is on the west side of the Indian empire, and the Romans and Citadel are to the north of the Indian empire.)

It currently contains 2 warriors, 2 phalanxes, a diplomat, and a trireme (and has a harbor).

It has some improvements around it, and is currently building city walls.

It has a surplus of 2 food per turn, and will expand in 14 turns. It is generating 1 science and one gold per turn (not enough for either a library or marketplace to be useful)

The city walls will be done in 10 turns.

The military here in instituting martial law, so the next 3 citizens will be content. After that (the 8th citizen), they will be unhappy.

We need to build a temple at some point, and sooner is probably better, in case we want to switch to a government that doesn't allow martial law after the war. Should we:

    (1) Change to a temple (2 turns if we switch), then start building walls again, or
    (2) Finish the city walls and then build a temple (which would be done 8 turns after the city walls), or
    (3) Finish the city walls and then rush-build a temple (we have 368 gold ATM with an income of 12 per turn), so we can go on to build other things or switch govts sooner?

New Castellon in in hostile territory. I don't trust those Indians. I think City Walls are a good idea there.

Indeed. As soon as we have war with them, it will be their obvious target. Once walled, our musketeers will be invincible - provided no indian diplomat with a sack full of gold gets too close...

having seen the changing act of the indians last few turns I would strongly suggest to finish those walls and make sure we don't lose the diplomat in the city...you can't trust them.

That means those voters think that there's something more important than city walls or temples. I'll make another poll next week after we see if the city is still around or not.
