Invade Rome??? They are our Trade Route gold mine and source of high bonus beakers! We built Citadel to limit their expansion and maintain them as a fountain of benefits.

Rome is our veritable sphere of influence. If we do have a war there, it's going to be over the fact that bananas are illegal...or maybe opium, whichever.

I will also note that it is not 100% necessary to be against a constituion to be in the AAAC. Another policy (MWIA never looked at my pm so I'm saying this without him) is opposing having a president who is too powerful. The independence that shade was notorious from is a good example for this. The president is just there to enforce the will of the people, not necessarily be the top strategist and DEFINITELY not to do things without listening to the people very closely.
Have found (and looked at) your PM civman2000 - sorry, but I missed it in the sudden stream of 10 or so that I got within three days.
Our party is not against rules, per se - we need guidelines to tell us who is responsible for what, and how (more or less) we play the game. One of these rules is (from my researches also from a poll waaay back in the mists of the history of Apolytonia) that the President is an enforcer of the will of the people, and he does not take major decisions without polling.
And civman, I think shade's wars with various nations is more a result of them attacking us after shade (rightfully) denied them tribute rather than as any direct malicious intention from the President of the time towards our neighbour civs (I think shade has learned to CONTROL his maliciousness ).
Our party's idea is that most things are decided upon as the issue arises, and by the people. We oppose strongly any dictators, however benevolent they may be - although I have yet to see evidence of this kind of behaviour from Ministers/Presidents. A constitution of sorts is OK, but a STRICT constitution will bind us, and in a volatile world like this we must be prepared to change tactics quickly, lest we perish.
The AAAC - Power to the People, Responsiveness to Change.
As MWIA said, power to the people is one of the most important ideas of the AAAC. I oppose a constitution because I think not having one would be the best way to ensure the people's power.
Join the UNPARTY and become a member of a non-group of independents to be reckoned with. Together, we can thwart the division of Apolytonia into fallible fractious factions of schism and anarchy!
Our motto: "Disce Aut Morere"

To the leaders of all our new political parties --
You Are Just Being Silly!
Your Historian declares himself a True Independent and will not affiliate himself with those who would presume to direct my votes.
While I am on the record as a supporter of the Marquis I cannot in good conscience accept any leader *except* our current President.
While my political philosphy is most in allignment with cavebear's, I can't help but think that an UNPARTY Party is like a religion of atheists.
So that's out.
