  • 100 Ad - 200 Bc

I made the moves this weekend, but I'm using a temporary account with AOL to access the web and can't cut-and-paste the log from Word into the browser.
I should have it up later and the new save files sent. Sorry for the delay.
    Here's a link.

100 BC – Beginning the plans to build the strategic city on the Roman continent. Trireme is heading to Paha Sapa to pick up Settler/Phalanx and drop off warrior. Sending trireme near Egypt back to pick up an exploration unit. Trireme on West coast off Roman continent will continue to explore.
Egyptians have reported the discovery of University.

75 BC – Unloaded the diplomat South of Bombay with instructions to head inland on the road to find another Indian city. We discovered the city of Delhi and the Indians offered the opportunity to join the campaign against the Romans. We respectfully declined. The Indians then demanded Construction as a tribute to their greatness. When or diplomat finished his fit of laughter, he offered the opportunity to exchange knowledge. He was rebuked and the Indians begged away from the bargaining table. We have established an embassy in Delhi.

50 BC – Walvis Beii has completed a caravan and is beginning on another. The settler/phalanx is headed towards its build destination.

25 BC – We have discovered Republic and have turned down the chance to switch governments and have begun the discovery of Polytheism.

      1 AD – Continuing discovery.

20 AD – Trireme comes in site of Rome. We shall make landfall soon. Southern Indian continent appears larger than originally thought.

40 AD – There is a Roman legion moving through our build site. We are unable to make landfall.

60 AD – Our Western trireme has discovered the Babylonian city of Ashur. It is a size 1 city looking to trade Beads, Copper, and Cloth. New Castellon has completed a diplomat which shall begin exploration. We have made landfall outside of Rome and are immediately approached by a Roman diplomat asking us to join the campaign against the Indians. We decline and are presented with the demand for Science, we decline and the Romans leave the negotiating table.

80 AD – The great city of Citadel is completed on the Roman continent with no less than 5 Roman military units in the city radius.

100 AD – Movement around the city of Citadel. I’m not sure the Romans are pleased with our site selection.

120 AD – We have met an American explorer on Egyptian continent. He demands Trade. We respectfully decline and are presented with a declaration of war! We have rush-built a Phalanx in Citadel at a cost of 52g.

140 AD – American explorer departs before or Warrior can attack. The warrior re-boards the trireme and will continue exploration. An empty Egyptian trireme is sighted south of Ten Zuiden.

160 AD – Barbarians sighted north of Balsindia on Horseback.

180 AD – The city of Ormond is founded south of Nova Hispania. The city of Balsindia successfully repels the marauding barabarians. We have found the city of Washington. It is a size 7 city north of Memphis seeking to trade Copper, Gems, and Hides.

200 AD – Will wait on report from ministers before continuing.

Try partial rush buying! That is, first switch production to a warrior, rush buy it. With only 1 shield done, it will cost you 22g, iirc. Then switch to phalanx. For another 25g, it is complete. It is always cheaper than rush building the entire unit at once.

Then it's good you are not our Economic Advisor...

It's a small savings on one purchase. But done every few turns in every city, it adds up to a large amount of gold. Enough to bribe an AI city, for example.

wasn't there a little paragraph in our constitution that stated the president could veto a poll?
(if not maybe I could add it )
