  • Prioritize our settlement sites! 1750 BC

Our exploration efforts have paid off. 2 fertile islands have been discovered off our coasts. With information gleened from our city status reports, we have learned the first settler will be completed in the city of Paha Sapa, then the next in apolyton.....with 2 other settlers following those from other cities. The question is this.....bearing in mind the starting locations of these settlers, what settlement sites should take priority. Map of the islands are as of yet not complete, so ideal city locations cannot be determined, however its obvious that locations on these islands are capable of sustaining new cities....futhermore a new island has been spoted and will soon be explored as well. There's also the question about finishing the settlement of the home island (yet to be finally named) and the shores off these locations still keep the secrets of if special resources lay off shore....

The expansion department's offical recomendation is that settlment of the south island be given priority for the first setters, followed by the north island, then new cities on the home island.

I agree with your proposals. To the southern island!

I would agree, but since the earlier we get cities in place the better (and the more benefit), we should look seriously at the last remaining spot on the current island.

Wherever we can get a settler first should be the first new city site. Is there a chance that the existing Trireme can get theere in time, or is shade having too much fun?

Bugger. Ignore my vote in "home island". I should have voted "Other".

To the southern island. Specifically, on that no-shield grassland with access to both fish squares.

First these islands... tomorrow the WORLD! Muhahahahaha...

Let's not forget that one of the fish squares already belongs to the Apolyton city!

So the new city shoud be founded one square souther, in order not to be in conflict with another city. I know that at this stage that is irrelevant, but there is no need for it, since the new city will already have one fish!

Look at the pattern of specials...

I think we should explore towards the yellow with the southern trireme. The special pattern suggests there may be special terrain in that direction, but not to the south. Regardless, the blue island will be good simply due to its proximity to our palace - no corruption.

In the north, the fish near Fishy is probably the southernmost special of that sequence. I bet we find special terrains on the green-highlight island, just outside our map.

The red square really should wait until we explore more. If there is a fish or whale, it looks like it would be nearby, tho.

Regardless of where we settle, there will be time to build a few roads while the boats go back and forth...

                      1) definatly the blue island that is a perfect spot(even if we now already see the entire island
2)green looks a bad option since the fish are already in use by fishy and it looks to me like it's only a 4 square island

3)I would like 1 turn more of exploration by our triremes(and then the screenshot offcourse) before starting up polls.
-->the north trireme moves around the corner(up->right)
-->the South Trireme move along the coast of the new island(just to see if it expands.

                      thx
