ok up until now we haven't really put down how long a term will be??(ie how long before we have new elections)
As I see it there are 2 options
->1) the period of time will be in REAL TIME( eg 1 month)
->2)the period of time will be in game turns( eg 30 turns)
Personally I suggest ussing Real time, why?Simple,If you are ellected you are in charge for(eg) 1 month, begin of the game end of the game doesn't matter. It also makes it easy for ellections (eg always the first day of the month).
On the other hand this will also mean that someone elected in the beginning will play maybe 70 turns and someone at the end will only play 25(this caused by the different amount of stuff there is to do,in the beginning you only have comand over a dozen units and 5->10 cities while at the end we could be talking about a few hundred units and 60->100 cities).
If we would go for the turnbased option remember that in the beginning ellections might occur once a week and at the end only once every 2 months.
(this is just my opinion, now go and make your choice )
