Standard Single Player Civ 2 - version 2.42 is as bug free as they come
or
Multiplayer Gold Edition - (Ultimate in Europe) v5.3 or 5.4 or with or without Julius' NoLimits patch.
Several of the old-timers (like us) have both and don't care ...
