I was less "leading" on the polls, but that is just style.

But mostly, it does not make sense that one person leaving for RL reasons can end a game! Why aren't you guys finishing the game? This is wrong!

Well, we have been beating a dead horse for a while now, and without participation, a Demogame becomes a single player game at worst, and a Demogame in name only at best (with 4 or so active participants it is hard to have a true democracy).

When voting comes down to 5 or 6 participants, and even those participants don't have the interest or RL time/ability to serve as leaders, the situation becomes unviable.

Extinction comes to all things. I am sorry to see it happen to this game. I pushed myself to the limit to keep it going, but I got to the point where I could not provide all the needed energy to sustain it.

A democracy game is a group effort, and when there is no group left, there is no democracy game.

Obviously, I haven't abandoned this concept. I just can't be the default leader all the time. If anyone can get a group together to finish the existing game or start a new one, I will participate as a citizen whenever I can. But someone else is going to have to to that. I'm just burned out for a while.

I'm sorry - I intended to nominate myself as next Consul but things in RL just cranked up so much...

I'm not ruling it out, but I too just can't right now. Maybe once I've completed my latest flat shift...
