Where should our Explorer go?

Yellow is West (and North along coastline)

Red is southwest and then reveal southern squares

Green is south and east to reveal the dark spaces

Blue is to rehome at Two Whales (I meant to do that in passing) then follow the southeastern coastline

Pink is to rehome at Two Whales then explore east toward the Egyptians

While I agree that rehoming that Explorer is an excellent idea, I voted to continue along the West coast. Let's just please remind each other not to forget rehoming. (We should probably rehome the other boat as well. I would much rather see Apolytonia build another ship, after any new commodity is built, rather than a settler.)

Nice lines!! I didn't see the pink one though. I urgrently request no exploration to the East until we can fight back.

Sorry about the missing Pink line. Apparently, I forget to save the Paint file again when I added the Pink arrow as an afterthought. It just went east out of Two Whales anyway.

I am also going to vote West, but you also state "North along the coastline" but I don't know about that part, I would prefer that we just move west until we reach water and then move south, let the boats uncover the ocean and the coastline (when they get there).

I believe your "pink idea" raises an important point. We need to start getting some intelligence about the lands to the East. One thing we can do, and it will take care of a second bird, is to send the Apoly boat to Utica/Panama for rehoming and have it continue along the coast. If there are coastal cities that will be good to know, as we can send some troops overseas. This will avoid the accidental meeting = War scenario I have been so paranoid about.

By carefully moving the boat one click at a time, then checking its home city and clicking on the boat, we can discover when the boat gets "near" an AI city.
