  • Minister's reports

Minister's reports are a little late, I am sorry, but my laptopt is in the shop with software issues (Norton AV and MS Office started screwing me around at the same time). I expect it fixed and back within 24 hours, but if not, I will spend some time attempting to get my desktop back up to working order again to at least send the reports.

    Hope this is good enough...
    Consul.

Back to the ROOTS of addiction. My first missed poll!

I had not yet sent in a report for Science, but Cavebear hasn't been around either, so I wasn't too worried about it.

If you have now sent in yours, I will do the same.

My parents were visiting for 3 days and I didn't get a chance to use the computer. They left 30 minutes ago and here I am! (And with a beer in one hand and a cig in the other)

You can do what you like with your body, but I should warn you that the Surgeon General has determined that cigarette ash and spilt beer can lead to hard disk crashes

On the other hand it is a well known fact that a little drop of red wine acts as a lubricant for the hard drive and bread crumbs are completely benign.

Which is why my CPU is well-isolated from hits, runs, and errors. But the beer *can* lead to body crashes!

If I understand you correctly, that is when you employ the hair-o-the dog workaround.

Sometimes it works better than others, however....

Actually, Gatorade (lemon-lime) is one of the best things to drink "the morning after". I have to be rather awake and active before I can stomach (literally) another beer. Besides, I never drink before noon (of course, I have a clock permanently set at 12:05).

In England it used to be said that you should not drink until the sun was over the yard arm. This was no doubt the motivation for going out and stealing an empire on which the sun never set.
