just curious, did you follow the link? it was to one of my posts in the 2nd Civ II Democracy game (of which i also took an interest after a rather long hiatus from Civ). I tended to be a bit of an extreme micromanager during my 2 terms in office. Elect me to office and I could revert to old patterns again.

What is the job description here though, d'ya think? Or would it just be a placeholder primarily in case all of a sudden we get an option to trade with someone...?

          Talk about a sinecure.
For the next few centuries then I reckon that defence minister will be another one.

unfortunately many of these positions will simply be place holders untill we can reach other civs. But its allways easier to win an election as an incumbant.

I will Play tonight and post tomorrow, after that we should think of some type of constitution that can dictate things like term limits, actions of various officials, and the extent of power for the Consul. eg. Military deployment without Senate approval, and variations on tech choices or city builds from the minister suggestions.

              Just a thought.

Sorry but I couldn't play last night. Vid card was on the fritz, I would hit end of turn and the screen would do a little and then the system would crash.

after 2 hours of trying to fix it, I put in a new card. So I can play tonight and I will Borrow a friends PC to upload the save.
