Yes. Apparently there are still problems, too.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

**rubs eyes** Aha! So I wasn't seeing things. Yeah, I'd think it's been down, considering there were only *FIVE* users present when I logged on at 1:35 a.m. CST USA. I've never seen that few people browsing until, well, this morning.

If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

            Brilliant.

This is what I tried to post:

I've been trying to get in for the past two hours, and was getting 'fail to connect' errors.

No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Apo was down for 14 min and 46 seconds, for maintenance reasons.

I'd like to know why Markos is "supposedly" opening the thread

Dunno. There's glitches in threads that had 0 replies earlier today. See the "Rivers" thread in the Civ3 creation forum.

0 replies are no big deal. It's the ones that are without the opening posts that are funny.

What's with the 14 minutes and 46 seconds thing anyway? It's as if we are such a demanding set of users we will not accept "down for maintenance, come back later".

What IW meant was "threads with zero posts" (just like you described it).

in this case, any estimation is better than no estimation

Well the first time I saw it I thought it was amusing, and probably was a real (albeit spuriously precise) estimate. But it is always the same estimate, so it doesn't provide any info.
