International Apolyton meeting during the Olympics in Athens?

No dates as yet, I would first like to test public interest.
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.
it would take sometime to get from somewhere near Thessaloniki to Athens every morning (and vice versa in the evening) during the meeting. However I assume Keygen "could" give a place to stay for SPDT members.
However I would suggest some alternative location as Athens will be expensive during the Olympics. However I suggest Finland as you can get here easily by flight and we could get a nicely priced hotel package at some conference or business hotel if the meeting would be in the summer. Tampere or Helsinki would be good options. I could maybe even offer limited accomodation (i.e. several Apolytoners, rather than a whorde of them) at a summer cottage which is located near Tampere.

panag, are you offering to pay everyone's airfare?
hi ,
, but if there are plenty of people , well some deals on lower airfare can be obtained , .....
anyway , since there are several people here from several airlines , something can be done , ....
its worth to ask , so why not , .....
we could do it in Thessa all together , ... the weather is cooler there , its a nice town , great beaches , .... and there is a high speed train running between Thessa and Athens , ..... so we could land at Athens , jump on the train , ..... and be in the hotel a couple hours later with a cold beer in one hand and a laptop in the other , ....
, in Crete special low price deals can be obtained from september to march / april for meetings , many international companies go there then to train new staff or to have seminars , ......
Seriously speaking, we Finns could get to Thessaloniki very easily by traveling with Finnair's charter flight to which you can get tickets from at least Suntours and Ebookers. The price for a return ticket if you stay one week is 380€ (Suntour's price during the summer months, +10€ for two weeks), while Ebooker's would charge 100-150€ more. You can find the prices and dates if you go to their website and look under Halkidiki.
Those who can get tickets from Kilroy Travels get at the cheapest with Czech Airlines from Helsinki by Prague for 159€ (one way ticket) and with Malev by Budapest for 162€ (one way ticket).
Then we would basically need the accomodation, but I'm sure Markos has some extra space for a few poor Finns, right?

hi ,
with or without a stop in brussels ?
in Greece it would be smart to rent a house or stay with people then in hotels , ..... you can get large villas , and it shall be way cheaper then a lux hotel , ......
A general Apolyton Meet would give me a great chance to assassinate meet with my enemies colleagues, who I had hitherto only encountered via the inconvenient, bug-ridden, constantly-crashing, heart-attack-inciting, general waste of time that is the Internet.
I live in Australia, so it'd be equally inconvenient from my point of view no matter where it was held.
There must be a good chance that Greece will implode when teh olympics start, so you may not want to be there
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.
