  • Most ever 'poly users in a day (so far)

Where were you when this happened:
Most users ever online on a day was 1108 on 21-02-2003
    I was right here!

A testament to how good the forums are perhaps?

    Hehe, it's 1118 already.

And "Where were you?" The day still goes on, so there might be some more DL's unique users lurking out there, just waiting to increase the count furthr.

        Tops.

And amazingly the place hasn't fallen apart under the load.

Not only that, but it is pretty fast, too. (For me at least.)

I've had to logon twice today. Does this count me as 2 users or 1?

              ACK!

Where is this info displayed on ACS?
About 24,000 people die every day from hunger or hunger-related causes. With a simple click daily at the Hunger Site you can provide food for those who need it.

I had checked there just a minute ago and that information wasn't displayed (nor was the active users online now and the birthday list) but when you mentioned it I rechecked and sure enough it reappeared. Is that because Markos was working on it or did my comp not generate the page completely?

It's part of the anti-server load measures, I believe. Too much load and it won't show up from the server.

Is that better than the accidentally delted numbers from the time that Civ III was released?

If so- good work Mark and Dan! Especially on the updated, better servers!
