I can't say I have noticed much of a difference. If anything editing takes longer.

I find it's just to opposite.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

Me too, although the reason for that is obvious.

I haven't noticed anything unusual in the system recently. The whole thing has been kinda funky, but I can't say it's limited to posting posts (as opposed to any other site function).
If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

Probably because posting inserts new data into a bunch of different database table. Editing just updates values within a smaller number of those table.

Yep, Poly has been on the fritz for the last two weeks or so for me. When it comes to posting, it's hit and miss at best. Every other site comes up fine ... guess Settler can't handle the load very good anymore.

Actually Editing should take longer than posting. When you Edit, the forum hs to find the original entry in the database and update it, whereas, with posting it's just adding to the database.

EDIT: Editting my post took longer than posting it did. So, I don't know what Bod's problem is.

              ACK!

                Teheehee. Too easy.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Let me clarify, I don't know what Bod's posting problem is.

Yes it takes much longer to edit, at least for me.

Sorry, got the thread title mangled. I did mean editting took longer.

Well in that case we agree with you.

And this response may answer the intended question.
