I disabled it. From Opera and from my Internet settings. Then I reloaded the page. Cleared my cache. Reloaded the page again. Awful lot of trouble for a single website, and it still doesn't help

I assume your connection might be behind a forced proxy server or a NAT firewall as you have a dynamic IP address which is retrieved from their DHCP server. Kassiopeia, panag is right. The remote cache should refresh at least every couple of hours or so. If not, you have a lousy server admin. Sorry that you have to go through so many problems to view the site.
