  • Adcode error with Mozilla and Netscape

    Browsers tested

    MSIE 6.0 SP1
    Mozilla 1.2.1
    Netscape 7
    Opera 7
    Netscape Communicator 4.8

    Browsers where the error occurs

    Mozilla 1.2.1
    Netscape Communicator 4.8

    Problem

When the specific banner ad is being loaded, the add script shows a part of the script for some reason and displays two banners instead of one. Only seems to happen with the localised Finnish ads and while using Mozilla 1.2.1 and Netcsape Communicator 4.8. In Mozilla it causes the rest of the page, after the adcode, not to be loaded and in NN it works like it should, except that it displays two banners like with Mozilla and a part of the code. The problem is especially annoying when browsing the forums, e.g. I had to refresh the A/C forum page 3-4 times before it displayed some other ad and I could see the threads. It's apparently linked to some very recent change as it hasn't happened earlier to me. I'm not sure, but it could well be related to localised Finnish ads only.

I just counted how many times I have to click "Reload."

    Main forum page - 3
    A/C forum - 5
    This thread - 1

This is getting annoying. I had to move to MSIE so that I could reasonably browse Poly.

          Ahem. No, it's not fixed.

This has been happening for me ALL day, and is still happening. I'm using Mozilla 1.2.

Edit: Just upgraded to Mozilla 1.2.1 - still happening.
