  • Umm...

I just realised I seem to have gone down to 'prince' again whilst I was absent. Could a mod just explain what happened?

    Thanks.

I think that they're just now starting to enforce the "1 post PCR for every picture of yourself you post" rule that they threatened so long ago.

Hmm, OK. My post count didn't go down by much, just 40 posts or so.

That shouldn't affect the post count. Correct me if I'm wrong but your post count is increased when the post is registered in the database and deleting the post simply removes the enhtry from the database without any realignment of your post count.

Actually, it can reduce you by more than you posted. Ming explained it a while ago.

                      Yes, true.
When Ming deletes a post, the server decrements your post count for each post you made, and then removes the thread. The server sometimes stuffs up between deleting peoples posts and deleting the thread, so Ming has to attempt to delete the thread multiple times. Each time the server decrements your post count until it finally succeeds in deleting the thread.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

...maybe they're just taken from your post count and added to mings...

This is true... anytime I delete an on topic thread, all the posts do get deducted if you had posted in the thread.

I will admit that we haven't had the same deletion problems we were having a way back. Now, it usually it only takes one try now.

Maybe... maybe not... I haven't had a need to check his posting history in a while

It could also just be a glitch... I don't know...
